Mudslinging

Proverbs 26: 11, tells us that a fool returns to his folly like a dog does his vomit.

The biblical definition of a fool is  - someone who does something foolish and then continues to repeat it. All of us, from time to time, do things that would qualify us for the bone-head hall of fame;

In Seattle, when a man attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for. Police arrived at the scene to find an ill man curled up next to a motor home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted to trying to steal gasoline and plugged his hose into the motor home’s sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press charges, saying that it was the best laugh he’d ever had.

We all do DUMB things, however, the question is whether or not we learn from it or continue in our folly. I want to submit to you that one of the dumbest things that a Christian can ever do is sling mud on the bride of Christ!

How it must break the Father’s heart when we thoughtlessly cause blemishes on the one for whom He gave His life?

THREE DEVASTATING AFFECTS OF MUDSLINGING:

1.     Lucifer is handed an opportunity

2.     The lost are handed an excuse

3.     The Lord is handed a heartache

Questions to ask yourself:

1. When you have a problem with your church, do you approach your leaders or do you just start blabbing it to anyone who will listen?

2. Do you have any habits or activities that you wouldn’t want your Church leaders to find out about?

3. How long has it been since you bragged about your church?

    I’ve learned to trust that complaining and to cast judgment on god church and others is pointless..change has to come from within ones self..to trust/have faith god is the way to redeemings one self.
