3 Questions Before Sunday

September 19, 2008 at 5:24 pm (Uncategorized)

This is going to be a great weekend at Shore Fellowship. Believe it or not you can make it greater. Answer these 3 questions.

# 1 – Have you prayed for God to stir an uprising in your soul and in the hearts of those at Shore?

# 2 – Who are you bringing with you this weekend? Don’t be afraid to make the invite.

# 3 – Where will you be serving to make the experience better for others?

Every one who comes to Shore is a gift from God. Let’s treat them that way this week. You can go on shorefellowship.com a use the E-Vite to send an invitation. Let me hear some of your answers.

What Was That Quote?

September 17, 2008 at 4:47 pm (Uncategorized) (, , )

This past Sunday in week 2 of our series “reVolt”, we talked about the blind man that Jesus healed. You remember the guy. He was the one that Jesus spit into the dirt , made some mud pies, and slapped it on his eyes and told him to go wash them off in a certain pool. When he did, He could see. That had to be an amazing experience.

If you remember the story you know the religious people interrogated him and then kicked him out of the temple. It was then that Jesus went looking for him, found him, and changed his life forever. The Ex blind man who could now see had a new purpose for living. If I had to guess, he wasn’t that concerned that he had been kicked out of the temple. He just became the “temple of God”. WOE, just thought of that while I was writing. Anyway, who do you think was the most important person in his life? If you said Jesus, you win! Think about this:

“You will feel about yourself how you think the most important person in your life feels about you”!!

If that person is someone other than Jesus, you’re in trouble. Who is most important to you?

The Pretenders

September 11, 2008 at 11:25 am (Uncategorized) (, , )

In a few weeks we will be starting a new series called, The Pretenders. So many people are spending their lives running from who they are and what they’ve become. They are so afraid that someone is going to see through the mask that they wear. So they live in shame and pretend to be something they are not. In this series we will talk about how to be the real deal, the genuine article. After all everyone wants to feel good about who they are when they lay their head on the pillow @ night. The Foo Fighters have a song called, “The Pretender”. In it they ask the question, “Tell me, who are you”? This is going to be a great series to help you put aside all the junk and all the funk and be a person of authenticity and integrity.

Hey, I am taking a poll. Which color do you like for the graphic?

A – Blue

B – Green

reVolt (3)

September 9, 2008 at 11:54 am (Uncategorized) (, )

Had a great time with some fellow reVolters. I went to the Phillies game with a couple great Pastor friends, John Cremeans (Fellowship Church) and Ed Trinkle (First Baptist of Aston). Ed was gracious enough to st it up and invite John and I. They are really trying to convert me into a fan of Philly sports. That may not happen, but I am of fan of them and their ministries. I love to spend time with guys who are getting it done for God.

Every time we get together I get to see their heart for God and hear about their ministries. I am so glad that God is putting more guys in the Northeast to build churches that will be a part of the reVolt called God Chasers. There is an uprising coming. Can’t you feel it? Oh yea, did I mention that John’s sunglasses flew off his hat and hit a lady in the head?

reVolt (2)

September 8, 2008 at 3:13 pm (Uncategorized) (, , )

Great Sunday. God really showed up and started a work. We looked at the beginning of a reVolt and how it gets started. Usually it’s one person who has just had enough and is tired of the status quo.

In I Samuel 14, we see the kings son Jonathan rise up and go after the Phillistines with his armour bearer and 1 sword. Many would think he was half nuts, but there was something bigger going on. He was tired of the enemy, tired of the Phillistine and their impact on his life and he decided it was time to act. So he left camp and went after the enemy while his Dad, (saul) sat on his butt under a pomegranate tree. (more on that later)

My question is, What is keeping you under the pomegranate tree and off the battle field? What are the Phillistines in your life? The things that keep you from shining for God. A reVolt will start in your soul, when you decide to rise up and take a step of faith and deal with the foe that is stalking your life. Don’t worry if you don’t have any weapons to fight. If you just go up, God will show up. What are some of the Phillistines that you struggle with??? I would love to hear from YOU.

reVolt

September 3, 2008 at 9:36 am (Uncategorized) (, )

This weekend @ Shore Fellowship we start a new series called, reVolt. I am praying that God will cause an UPRISING OF THE SOUL in our church. I am hoping for our church to break out of the mold of everyday life and to rise up an do even greater works for our incredible God.

What is a reVolt?
What happens when a reVolt is under way?
Just How does a revolt get started?
Does the reVolt ever end?

“REVOLT” is a powerful look into the life of Jesus Christ; God, who came to earth to stir our hearts toward living life to the fullest. Throughout history men and women have led revolutions, overthrown governments, changed the course of nations, but only ONE changed the destiny of mankind. Throughout this series, we will look at how Jesus brought together a small band of followers, spent time with them, trained them and then sent them out to turn their would upside down.

Our challenge is to do the same in our community. This series is a great way to super charge your life as we enter the fall season. Bring your friends out and be a part of the reVolution.
