Tim Chambers – an uprising of the soul

This has been a fascinating week. God has opened up doors and been my provider all week. Here is a rundown of the week.

-Last Sunday I made a commitment to give back to the church my weekly salary for the month of June. I am excited to see how God will provide. I was challenged by reading in Ephesians how Christ loved the church and gave His life for it. As a leader I wanted to get my feet wet first.
- Monday Jeff Whitaker (my media guy) and me had the opportunity to Interview the author of Pop Goes The Church, Tim Stevens. That was awesome. Met him at Whiteboard Sessions too.
- Had a chance yesterday to share with an Un-churched dude, that God is interested in Him and that He is in hot pursuit. I told Him that it was obvious that God was trying to get his attention. I never get tired of that.
- On Thursday I went to Whiteboard Sessions in DC. 8 speakers 1/2 hour each. Perry Noble knocked it out of the park and then some.
- Got to go to lunch with Vince Antonucci. He wrote the book, I Became a Christian and all I got was This Lousy T-Shirt. Great Book. He has one of his services in a bar. That’s off the chain.
- Today I had a bubble machine blowing bubbles during my entire message. The point was that we need to stop being Citizens of the Bubble. The bubble is the Christian sub-culture that we have created that keeps us from influencing our world for Christ.
- Still looking for a worship leader. If you know someone, let me know.
- Had some fat cheesy Hot Dogs on the grill tonight.
